I got one at 12, another at 20 for gender, and have gone in every few weeks after that or weekly. Mine are due to shortened cervix and the fact I am on bedrest. But if you aren't having issues, you may not get so many.

I found out I was having twins at 11 weeks and switched doctors at that time. My new doctor ordered level II sonograms for every three to four weeks. I see my doctor every four weeks since I am doing okay. At the sonogram my cervix is checked each time to make sure it looks okay. It's so fun to see the boys every month.

Ive had an u/s every 4 weeks..But i have GD so they check the babies everytime I go in..So I had one at 9,12, 16, and 20 weeks so far. I go again on July 9th and then I will start going every 2 weeks. I think every dr is different but Im sure you will see your beans in 4 weeks or less..

I am also having cervical checks which your dr should also be watching, so I bet you will start getting more u.s soon..

I get ultrasounds down everytime I go to my OB. After my 22 week appt I go to my OB every 2 weeks and starting July 9th I will be going and getting fetal growth test down. (I am 24w5d) That will be every 4 weeks. My OB told me I would go and find out what I was having around 16-20 weeks.

When did you find out you had GD, I haven't had any tests done other than the initial once you find out your pregnant tests. I have another appt on Tuesday maybe he'll have more info for me!

I had GD last time with my singleton pg, and was on insulin so IM already checking blood sugars and controlling with diet..

They will normally have you do the GTT test around 28 weeks..so you have a while.

You will probably schedule an u/s at your appt on Tues..they like to check them around 20 weeks reguardless if your pg with 1 or more...I think they will probably check your cervix via u/s also to make sure its holding up..Sounds like your doing great...

So far so good. No problems. I know all doctors are different but I feel like it's my first pregnancy all over again.

Im a little spoiled...my dr says I can come in as often as I like, and Im not gonna lie- I LOVE to go in and see them! For the first 10 weeks or so I would go in once a week (It gave me peace of mind...), and every time I go in she does and u/s (we are builing quite the collection). Now that we are a little farther along, I only go once every 2 weeks or so. I love my Dr., it is so nice to be able to go see them, if for any reason I get worried about anything.

I get one every month. After 20 weeks, I'll get one every 2 weeks. No complications, I think that is just standard for twin pregnancy at my doctor's office.

I am 19 weeks and have een wanting to swich doctor's for a variety of reasons... was it wierd to do this or did your doctor recommend a specialist?

In answer to the origional post I got an informal office ultrasound @ 12 weeks at this point they found out it was twins and scheduled me for a formal ultrasound at 13 weeks then I had another informal office ultrasound at my last appointment which was around 17 weeks... The informal ones were not diagnostic thoughso I still don't know what I am having... They are basically doing the office ones because it is harder to distinguish 2 heartbeats with the doppler and they know I am a nervous mom-to-be... If they don't find them immediately I start to get nervous. They also have a med student, and I am their only twin pregnancy at this time... Guess I'm a guinea pig!

I found out we were having 2 boys around week 20 and we've gone for ultrasounds every 4 weeks since then. They told me they may have me coming more often as we get closer to delivery.

I got an u/s at every visit. My peri did a growth u/s at every visit and my regular OB used the u/s to check the h/bs, so every visit and I loved it!!

I had my first u/s at the OB's office at 11 wks, 1st level II sonogram at 20 wks and then one every month after that, so 24, 28, 32 weeks etc..

I saw my OB once a month until 26 wks, then I was supposed to see her 2x a month until 34 wks, but had PTL so now I see her weekly. I have a little u/s to check the girls heart rates and their position at each visit with my OB

I did not hesitate to switch doctors because I wasn't happy with the original practice I was seeing and my new doctor came highly recommended. My new doctor is an old timey doctor (in a good sense), he's the only one in his practice and he has been delivering babies for decades, which means that he has a lot of experience and is confident doing VBAC and breech deliveries. He has a wall of photos with all of the twins he has delivered. I leave his office feeling fortunate to be a pregnant woman, it's a really wonderful experience. In fact, in our first visit I told him that my greatest fear was to deliver one baby vaginally and the other via c-section b/c I don't need blowouts in two different places. He calmly responded, "Mommy, the twins willl tell us how to deliver them." I was immediately at ease b/c I knew he would do what was best for the boys.

I have been going every two weeks to the OB and she does a quick scan to look at the fluid in their sacs, etc. Beginning at 14 weeks, I have began going for a Level II ultrasound every four weeks where they are able to take a really good close look at how they're developing, measuring them, etc. I was able to find out the sexes at the 14 weeks appt.

I'm currently 21 weeks and I go into the peri every 4 weeks, which I think will be moving to every 2 weeks after this visit. I see my OB every 4 week, which I believe will also be changing after my next visit. At the peri I get an u/s every time. So far we had u/s at weeks 5, 7, 12, 16 -found out the sexes, and 19. I will also be getting one on this Thursday to recheck the fluid around my baby girl, she had a little less than her brother and they want to recheck it this week. Other than that I haven't had any cervical or other issues. I do love u/s though!

Due to a tilted uterus, I got my first u/s at 9 weeks, when I found out it was twins. I switched practices for high risk at 17 weeks after finding out that my identical boys were sharing a placenta and I have gone every two weeks to monitor fluid and weight gain, which so far has been excellent. We'll see Friday how good they are doing!! :D
