How often do you have an U/S at 19 weeks with identical twins

I am curious, how often do you have an u/s w/ identical twins who share a placenta (at 19 weeks).

They've scheduled me for every 4 to 5 weeks. I love it! I get to see my boys every month and know that they are okay!

 

Ever since 19 weeks I go in weekly because one of our babies has SIUGR (that they discovered at our level II) so they're monitoring growth and blood flow. It's bittersweet - I love seeing them but I hate the circumstances.

 

I think it probably varies from doc to doc, but my doctor does u/s every 4-6 wks unless there's cause for concern. I'm at 24 wks and still on this schedule. I get a checkup and and an u/s monthly.

We are SO spoiled getting to see our peeps that often!!!

I went every 4w to my dr at 20 but saw my Peri every 6w… so I would sometimes have 2 in one month… it increased as I got further along… BUT now that it is all coming back to me… after my Cerclage at 17w they did a couple more (my reg OB would do one, my Peri would do one and my Cerclage specialist DR loved to look… or if I had to go to L&D because my contractions were 2 min apart… they would do an u/s … soooo looking back I would think it worked out about every 2 w… I also think its what kept me from letting my imagination get away w/ me... i loved u/s

I had one at 11w and 1 at 18w and then I transferred to a MFM (as I felt I needed closer monitoring since they were mono-di). It was the best decision I could have made!

My next one was at 21w and from then until 28w I had them every 10 days. From 28-35w (delivered at 35w) I had an u/s 1xweek and NSTs 2xweek.

 

after around 18 weeks i started going every two weeks. then at 27 weeks they noticed a fluid discrepancy, so i was going once a week until i gave birth at 34w1d.

 

Starting at 18 weeks I was seeing a peri every 2 weeks. My pg was uneventful- the only reason I was being so closely monitored was because they were mono/di. I think that every doctor is different but I LOVED how my ob care was carried out. Good luck and congratulations on your twins!!

 

My twins share a placenta also. I see the MFM every 2 weeks(since 16 weeks) and I have been seeing my OB every 4 weeks but in 2 weeks I will start seeing her every 2 weeks.

 

Doesnt seem to differ much than with fraternals because my peri plans to do them every 4 weeks too, we started at 18 weeks with the peri.

 

i saw my peri for an u/s every week until 26 weeks, and now it is every 2 weeks.

I had ultrasounds every 3-4 weeks all the way through my pregnancy. I started 2x weekly NSTs at 32 weeks (which almost always ended up in another quick ultrasound, since the girls never cooperated by staying on the monitors, so they did BPPs)

 

Mine share a placenta too - I am only 13 weeks now, and my next US is at 18 weeks at the peri's office. He said I would have an US with them (peri/specialist) every 3 weeks after that 18 week one, I think he said. As long as there are no complications, so I am hoping for that!!!

So, roughly every 3-4 weeks.

 

My OB started Level 2's at 20 weeks and every 4 weeks unless MFM wanted additional ones. So we went/are going as follows:
20 weeks
24 weeks
28 weeks
30 weeks (there was concern about discordance)
33 weeks scheduled around BPP's

My OB office also does a quick HR & fluid check at each of their visits too.

 

my ob did my 1st u/s at 9weeks, then I went to see the MFM at 13,16,19. I go back to the MFM every 2 weeks now for cervical checks and every other cervical check I have a growth scan.

 

I am seeing peri and OB every 4 weeks with an U/S
