How much water can they drink?

My girls are 9 months old and I've been giving them water in a sippy cup. Abby will drink the entire sippy cup throughout the day. Is that too much water?

As long as its not affecting her formula or BM intake then I think that is fine. Both of my boys are big, big drinkers.

 

I second Rachel, as long as it's not affecting what she's taking in terms of formula or BM, then she's fine. She might just love water too and that's great!

 

No, I don't think 1 sippy cup of water is too much. After 12 months mine started to drink about 3 sippy cups of water each day, sometimes. I would just make sure it's not affecting the amount of formula she is eating.

 

Ditto what Rachel said. As long as they are still drinking the same amount of Formula or BM it is fine.

She is still drinking 3- 8oz bottles of formula a day, which I assume is good. They are splitting a jar of food 3x a day as well, plus Cheerios, puffs and cut up fruit/veggies. We have our 9-month appt. coming up, so I'll be going over it all with their dr., but just wanted to see what you thought.

 

The babies are drinking a sippy cup of water throughout the day as well and it hasn't had any impact on their normal intake of milk and food. They like working on teh sippy cup and I think the enjoy the "taste" of cold water....
