How much time in exersaucer?

Boy, I am full of questions today.

A few months ago I posted about how much time you think is okay in the Rainforest Jumperoo and/or Jolly Jumper. Thanks for all of your replies. We asked the girls' doctor at their 6month app't and she said about 20-30minutes per day which is what we are following. Some days they don't even go in them at all.

Now, I am wondering about exersaucers. If they just stood in them or sat in them I wouldn't be so concerned but one of our girls jumps in hers like crazy. She will jump anywhere she can and loves to jump in her exersaucer. So, I was wondering if it is bad for her feet or legs or hips or something. Now I am wondering how often I can put her in it. At present they go in their exersaucers about 30minutes per day maximum (2 times for 15minutes each).

Aaaaahhhh...why do I feel like I am questioning everything I am doing lately (perhaps a discussion for another post)?! ;)

I usually do 2 x 15 minutes a day per child or so. Sometimes a little longer, sometimes less.

My rotations were about 20-30 minutes. After their morning bottles, they went in them while I showered. I would say it was about 30 minutes.

I don't know what the big beef is with kids being in these types of toys. They love them. :unknw:

Mine were in their walkers up to 30-45 mins at a time, sometimes 2-3 times a day. They loved them so much. (That is basically the same thing, it just moves with them).

I do about 30 minutes a time...it is great for their insides, if you know what I mean! I am always changing diapers after their exersaucer time.

Hmmm...I must be a bad Mommy ;) They love them. I've never timed it -sometimes its just a few minutes sometimes a good while if DD1 & I are eating lunch, I'm making dinner etc. - but between their two excersaucers, jumparoo & walker they both get at least an hour/day...they do get taken out as soon as they start to fuss. I don't think the jumping hurts them, actually, if anything it likely strenghtns their legs. IMHO :D If the jumping was bothering them , wouldn't they could just sit there?

My DD spent tons of time in her exersaucer before she could walk. She also was a big jumper and still is, we had the old kind without any attached toys and that turned her into a big time spinner, she'd go around and around forever and she still loves to spin around. I let her stay in it until she let me know she wanted to get out. I guess that I must be a bad mommy too. :D

As long as they're happy, I don't see why you need to limit the time. Or, I should say, as long as they also have cuddle and nap and feeding and plenty of exploring time, they'll let you know when they're ready to get out.
