    hi, everyone!

i have been obsessed w/sleep books ever since one of mine started waking frequently for a bottle of ebm at night (and now it's regular milk). most of the books say that one-to-two year olds should get about 11 hours of sleep at night, and around 2-2:45 during the day (in one or two naps). those are averages.

on many days/nights mine do get about that amount, or a bit less. but lately they have been waking up around an hour earlier, and not making it up w/their naps. i know sleep is extremely important, so i'm a little concerned.

just wondering how much sleep everyone else's little ones get.....?

    thanks in advance!

Mine generally sleep from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. and get two hours of naps during the day. Naps are sort of hit or miss though.

Until 22 months, my girls slept from 8:30pm to 7am, and took two naps per day (usually around 3 hours total).

At 22 months they went to one nap, still sleep from 8:30pm to 7am, but now nap (usually) from 1-3pm... unless they are at the sitter's house and then they won't stop playing to nap.

Mine get 11-12 hours at night - 7:00 p.m. until 6-7 a.m. - and a 2-3 hour nap during the day. My DS usually takes a 3 hour nap and tends to wake up earlier. My DD takes a 2 hour nap and wakes up after DS wakes her up. I think they get enough sleep because they are generally very happy with few tantrums.

Mine sleep 11-12 hours a night, depending on how long they play before falling asleep. They get two naps a day and sleep for 2-3 hours total from those naps.

My ladies sleep from 7pm until about 6:45/7am and take 2 naps - each for around 1 hour.
So about 14 hours total sleeping time per day :good:

11-12 hours for bedtime; 3 hrs average for naps- great sleepers- used for the most part the BABYWISE method; wish I'd gotten Babywise II to work on those principles...and we're trying now, but it's much harder.

mine sleep for 11 hours at night and DS usually takes an 1.5-2 hr. nap while DD usually sleeps 2-2.5 hrs at naptime.

As long as they get at least an 1.5 hrs. of napping in they seem to do just fine. Any less and I deal with crankiness.

12 - 12 1/2 hours at night (they go to bed at 6:30). They are down to one nap and lately it's only been 1 1/2 - 2 hours. A few weeks ago they were taking a good 3 hour nap.

My kids (20 months) sleep about 12 hours at night (7pm - 7am), and one 2-to-3 hour nap (they go down around 12:30pm).

I'm a big Weissbluth fan, most of what I do is pretty much out of his book. We had a long transition to one nap, but finally dropped the morning at about 17 months.

Mine sleep 7:30 pm-7:30 am, take a 1 hour nap in the morning and 90 min to 2 hour nap in the afternoon...so they sleep close to 14-15 hours most days.

They both get about 10.5 hours of sleep at night (7:30 pm - 6:00 am) and two hours for each is fairly normal for naps. I guess that puts us at around 12.5 hours total.

If ours sleep less at night they rarely make it up at nap time (especially if it's DS1) though they might be tired earlier that night.

My girls get about 11 - 11.5 hours of sleep at night and one 2 - 2.5 hour nap, so they usually average 13.5 hours. They're 23 months old. They used to sleep a bit more, 12 hours at night and a 2.5 hour nap, but they need less sleep now.

Mine usually get around 10-11 hours at night (down between 8:00 and 9:00; up around 7:00). They've taken one nap since 13 months. It's usually 1.5 to 2 hours. They used to go down around 7:30-8:00 and take a 1-1.5 hour nap. Since the time change, they've been staying up later but napping a little longer.

For total sleep that puts them at 11.5-13 hours.

My boys sleep 12-13 hours at night and nap for about 1 hour. We are in the process of transitioning to one nap, so I hope it lengthens just a bit!

I am a HSHHC fan (healthy sleep habits happy child) and my two sleep from 6:30 pm- 6:30-7 am (6:30 is very bright here) if they miss a nap due to a scheduled event I put them to bed at 5:30 pm.

AM nap 2.5 hrs sometimes more
    PM nap 2 hours

They used to sleep like clockwork but now one or the other may wake up earlier from a nap. But still average at least 3 hours a day minimum even with one nap.

Total sleep 16.5 hours. They both always wake up happy from their naps and in the morning unless they are sick. I also find I have few meltdowns.
