My babies will not sleep more than 2 minutes during the day or night without being swaddled. Is it bad to swaddle them for every nap and all night? We still do play time and tummy time.

Swaddling for sleep is just fine, don't worry. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it. Some babies just love that tight, snug feeling. :)

We swaddled until 4 months during the day and 6 months at night!

My girls are crawling everywhere and have no problems.

Yep, we swaddled for all naps and night time until the girls were 4 and a half months (unless they happened to fall asleep in the swing early on). Now we use sleep sacks. I've heard of people swaddling until 8 or 9 months sometimes! Doesn't seem to cause problems.

oh thank goodness!! mine sleep so much better when swaddled, even if they get their hands free, and I was wondering if there were any reprecussions.

We're swaddling at 5 months for one and the other is only swaddled when he fusses and won't sleep in his sleep sack. There's is nothing wrong with swaddling them and be sure to let all criticism ("why do you put them in those straight jackets") go in one ear and out the other. Do what's best for your babies... they need their sleep and so do you.

Swaddled at night and for all naps until 5 or 6 months. Swaddled for naps until 7 months. Whatever you have to do to get some sleep. Some babies need swaddling more than others.

We're still swaddling DS. We tried to de-swaddle cold turkey this week-- what a nightmare! We've decided to keep the swaddle. A baby that goes to bed quickly and quietly at 6:30 was still awake at 2:30 in the morning:woa: It was crazy!

Mine are swaddled for night and for naps. They really prefer to be swaddled it seems! But sometimes I won't swaddle one and put her in the swing and that works fine, too. (trying not to buy another swing, they're so bulky!)

With my 1st DD, we swaddled her at night until she couldn't fit anymore! :) We were afraid that she wouldn't sleep through the night. I think we stopped swaddling her at 6 months. You would think I would remember when we stopped swaddling her - it was only last year...

I quit swaddling the twins at 2 months and just quit with Katie. She actually sleeps better now.
