Does anyone know how much formula babies have to have at this age (almost 6 months, 4.5 adjusted) I have always had problems with them drinking their bottle, but I think we have hit the record, the last couple of days. I am sick of fighting with them, because I don't think they are hungry at all. This morning the drank 2 and 2.3 oz.
    Haylee weighs 16 lbs
Hope weighs 15 lbs 11 oz
The hate any type of solid, no fruit, or veggie or cereal.
I do give it to them, but it is usually a couple of spoonsfull, until they just freak out, it's hardly even worth it.
So I need to know how much formula they have to have, before it is becoming a concern.
    Thanks, everyone!!!

Mine settled at about 24 ounces at four months and they still drink that.

ETA: My girls were 14.12 and 15.7 at six months if that helps. :D

Mine are taking between 28 & 30 oz a day now. At that age I think it was about 24 oz (four 6 oz bottles), maybe a bit less. They were both close to 18 lbs at 6 months. :)

My guys were piggies with their bottles - 32 oz a day! But they were bigger at 6 months. I think if they want 24 oz a day, that is probably average and the solid intake probably will not get goo until they are over 6 months! Don't worry Mommy -- you are doing a great job!

"How much formula should your baby be eating? You can use this handy tip from The American Academy of Pediatrics that 'your baby should take in about 2 1/2 ounces of formula a day for every pound of body weight.' So if he is about 13 pounds, then on average, you would expect him to be eating about 32 ounces of formula each day. And if he is sleeping for a good 8 hour stretch at night, then that would be about 6 ounces of baby formula every 3 hours while he was awake...
    I took this from:http://pediatrics.about.com/od/weeklyquestion/a/05_growth_spurt.htm

I am on the flip side, my son is ALWAYS wanting to eat.

I follow that formula too. Our nicu told us to do that.

I was told about that formula also, by my ped, but my babies never came close to 32oz at 5 months! On a good day we got 24 in them. They had fairly severe reflux though.
