how much formula

my b/g twins will be 4 weeks tomorrow .. They eat 4oz mostly sometimes 3oz .. is 4oz too much for them at their age? how do you know when you give more? I know every baby is different . but is there a certain amount with babies at a certain age?

 

At 4 weeks, mine were drinking about 4 oz per feeding-that amount sounds normal. I think they were eating around every 3 hours at that age.

 

Mine started eating 4oz at 4 weeks too!

Mine were definitely taking 4 oz at 4 weeks. I usually waited to see if they emptied their bottles and started adding another oz after that because I knew they may still be hungry.

 

Mine were about the same. I think that is pretty normal.

 

I think you should feed them until they act full. Once they are ready to stop drinking then I think you should stop. I don't know if there is "too much." You may want to check with your ped. about that. We always had the opposite concern for our two.

Congrats on your new little bundles. I myself have b/g twins 14 weeks old. They are now eating 5 oz at every feeding. I would have to say that every baby is different and they're going to be days that they might only do 2-3 oz a feeding. They do have growth spurts mine just went through their 3 month. My kids in their 2nd month were eating 5 oz and the pediatrician said to only give them 4oz (they were hungry for the 5 oz though). I would just double check with the Pediatrician.
