how much formula are you giving at each feeding and how often are they drinking the bottle. We have been doing a small 4 oz bottle after their solids, due to all the spitting up. their spitting up has gotten better so I would like to move to less bottles where they drink more with each feeding. I just need to have an idea of what is reasonable for them to eat.

also, do you give solids at a seperate time than with the bottle?

    THANKS!

Bottles and solids are seperated. Twins are now down to about 18-20 oz of formula per 24 hours. I make about 20 oz per twin, but we have little left overs daily.

Right now our girls are drinking more than they "should be" (according to the info I received from our Health Centre). According to the paperwork I rec'd, 10-12 month olds should be having 3 bottles of 7-8 oz per day.

Yes, we give the bottles at a separate time than their solids. Here is our feeding schedule:
    7am - 1st bottle
    8:30am - breakfast (solids)
    11am - 2nd bottle
    12:30pm - lunch (solids)
    3pm - 3rd bottle
    5pm - dinner (solids)
    6:30pm - 4th bottle

    Hope this helps!

At our 9 month appointment, their ped wanted them down to 16-20oz of formula a day.

Right at 10 months we dropped bottle #4, so they have been taking 3 bottles of 8 oz. each. Our schedule looks like this:

    7:30 bottle
    8:30 solids
    11:30 solids
    1:30 bottle
    5:30 solids
    7:15 bottle

I BF all but one feeding a day unless they're at day care (3 days/week). When I give a bottle in the afternoon, it's usually 6 oz, but DD usually only drinks 4. On their days, the babysitter and DH give 6 oz 4 times/day.

Three bottles a day now - we dropped the 11am bottle a couple of weeks ago because they tended to
drink only 1 or 2 oz and guzzle their lunch....

They do around 7 oz at breakfast, 4 oz at 3pm and around 6oz at bedtime.

    Schedule:

    7am bottle
    730am breakfast cereal
    1130am solids
    3pm bottle
    330pm solids
    630pm bottle
