Well, I never thought I would be worried about this because it seemed like forever until mine started sleeping through the night. The posted review here on the new Weissbluth book on twins got be wondering if mine might be sleeping too much.
We put them to bed around 6:30pm and they wake up between 5:30-6:30 and take two to three naps a day. The naps are always longer than one hour and sometimes three hours. I would guess they that they sleep about 4-5 hours during these naps.

My babies are younger than yours, but I was just reading that at your babies age they should be sleeping about 14 hours a day. Every baby is different, I would think if they are sleeping it's because they need to.

My babies are slightly older than yours but my little girl sleeps about 1.5 hours in the morning, 2 hours in the afternoon, and then goes to sleep at night for about 10 hours. My little boy sleeps 1.5 hours in the morning, 2.5 in the afternoon, and then sleeps 12 hours at night. My children require different amounts of sleep and I know when they require more sleep or need to go down for a nap if they are fussy. Somedays my daughter skips one of her naps and ends up making up for the missed sleep by going to bed earlier or sleeping longer in the afternoon. So, I wouldn't fret about it one bit and enjoy the time you get while they are sleeping!!!

My boys get about 4 hours of naps and 11 hours of sleep at night. Give or take.

I have the original book... and he has 3 charts in the beginning... I'll quote the 4-11 mo. ranges here:

the % are "sleep NO more than..."
    Night sleep: 90% 12.5 hrs; 50% 11 hrs and 10% 8.75 hrs
    Day sleep: 90% 4.75 hrs; 50% 3.5 hrs and 10% 1.5 hrs
    Total sleep: 90% 16.25 hrs; 50% 14.25 hrs and 10% 10.9 hrs

so... by the full chart of the old book, you're doing great... just that your babies sleep the most of any babies ever! ha ha!!
Have you read the book? I had read it several months ago, and now just checked it out again. Our babies are getting good sleep now, but I thought now that I've got a few moments I wanted to read. It really stresses that babies need good day and night time sleep to be well rested so that they can be calm babies that soak in all the learning they need. Again, sounds like you are doing great! At 13 mo. old, we're still getting about the 90% or more, and I love it!!!

    Hey Jennifer,
My boys are a bit over 7 months and they sleep pretty much like yours. They sleep 11-12hrs at night and either a 2hr in morning 1.5 in afternoon...or a 3hr during the day...

    sounds like all is good!!

At 7 months of age, my babies needed a lot of sleep. Even now at almost 16 months im sure mine sleep more than "what they should" but you know, the babies dont read the books :)
My babies are thriving and need that sleep to be happy little people. Follow their lead and I dont think you can go wrong!
