That's a bit more than mine ate at that age, I didn't start solids until 6 months, so at 4 months they were eating about 4-5oz six times a day, about every 3 to 3.5 hours. As long as they are gaining weight appropriately and staying on the percentile charts I wouldn't worry too much about the amounts.

Sounds great...my twins were, and still are, eating smaller amounts, more often, due to reflux. If it's working for you, I say, stick with it!! [IMG]

My twins are 4 months old and they eat 6 oz every 3-4 hours. We have just started giving cereal 2 times a day. My ds could probably take more.

Our Twins have not yet started solids. I breastfeed when I am home, but while I am at work they will have 8 oz of formula at 9 AM, 7 oz of EBM at around noon (if they are still hungry, they will have one or two ounces of formula here as well) and at around 4PM, they will have another 8 oz of formula. I am usually home by 6 and they nurse shortly after I get home. Their last feeding is usually around 10 pm, before going to sleep. They wake and are nursed at around 6 or 6:30 AM.

Mine eat 5-6oz. formula 5x's/day- about every 3 hours (they sleep @ 7:30p-6:30am). I attempted to give DD rice cereal in her formula due to being a "Happy Spitter", but it just made for thicker spit-up so I quit. I've always let them decide how much & when- every baby is different & like pp said- as long as their weight gain is on track, everything should be fine!

My son eats almost every 3 to 4 hrs during the day and takes 7-8oz he also gets oatmeal in the morning and rice cereal at night. So it sounds good to me. We haven't yet started him on fruits and vegetables (we're starting next week on the veggies). Some children can eat more then others so it's always hard to tell from what others do. If they seem happy that's all that matters.
