How much do you spend of birthday gifts?

    Hello,

How much do you normally spend on birthday gifts for other children? We have 4 birthday parties to attend this month (3 neighbor friends and 1 playgroup friend); therefore, I have 4 gifts to purchase.

Any suggestions for cool, inexpensive gifts for 3-4 year olds?

I typically buy one gift for each of my girls to give to the child (so 2 gifts), and I don't spend more than $15 each. :good:

I get a gift from each twin as well and spend between $10-15 on each one.

I aim for about $15-20. Some cool, relatively inexpensive gifts we've bought recently are:
Stomp Rocket (more of a summertime toy though)
    Foam bowling set
Spiral art kit (what used to be called a Spirograph when I was little)
Big box of misc art supplies (Michael's has them on sale right now!)

I know this is a whole separate subject, but I don't buy a gift from each of my twins. If I did that, I'd have to keep the limit around $10, and I'd rather get one slightly larger thing.

I usually spend about $20 total MSRP retail price (but often spend less since I like to buy stuff on sale) for 1 or 2 gifts. Depends on who it is for, what we are giving, and that sort of thing.

Although we haven't been to many birthday parties yet, I would spend up to $20 (but if I can find stuff on sale, then all the better!), and I only buy one gift from my twins.

I would have never thought to buy one from each of my boys. I'll keep that in mind for later on. We've not been to any bday parties yet but I'd spend $30 total on the gift :) That seems to be about standard around here.

I spend about $20, and give one gift from both the boys. My friends all do the same, so if we all have 2 kids, and they are invited to each birthday party, it comes out the same, each child gets one gift from the other family. It just happens that mine get theirs on the same day. Later this month, we do have a birthday party for a good friend, who gives each of my boys a nice gift for his birthday, but we are not invited to her daughter's parties. So for them I will spend between $30 and $40, but it will still be one gift from both boys.
