i have a 3.5 year old and 3.5 month old twin boys. i feel like most of the time i am moving them from bouncer to swing to gym and the only real cuddle time i have with them is during feedings and after my older son goes to bed. i've been feeling guilty lately about not being able to cuddle them more. i think they are fine with it though, b/c most of the time they are awake they dont want to be held they'd rather be on the floor playing or sitting up and looking around.

I was just going to post about this. I feel the exact same way, like I don't have a lot of time to spend teaching them things and just being with them because I am so busy trying to keep them occupied so I can get a couple moments of rest. Mine aren't even close to sleeping through the night so I am exhausted during the day. I think I would have a meltdown if I had to have a baby actually on me all day. I think this is pretty normal and I think the most important connection for an infant is when you are feeding them or soothing them I try to make sure things are quiet and I am not doing anything else during feedings (unlike DH who will talk on his phone). Also for as much as it annoys me when they are on separate nap schedules I take that opportunity to spend one on one time with each of them. I also try to set aside time to just lay a big blanket on the floor with them with a bunch of toys and I kind of play with them and watch t.v.. Try not to feel guilty you are doing a great job!

I keep looking for that cuddle time! When I try to cuddle, they usually squirm and want to be some place else or in some other position. Best cuddling time I get is while nursing and I do so look forward to it!

Hopefully more cuddling in our futures! :)

I feel the same way- they'd rather play in their jumperoo than snuggle w/ Mommy! :( and then there's the guilt of not "equally" snuggling w/ both! I guess we just have to get what we can, when we can! If they're loved- (and I'm sure they are!) they'll know! :hug99:

Now that we are mobile, my girls woudl much rather be on the floor rolling/crawling around then cuddling with mommy! I wish I could get more cuddle time in too!

I'm sure your little ones are fine!

It is a tough juggling act. I have a 3 year old too and she is just as demanding if not more than the boys. I just do my best to keep everyone content and if that means that the boys get more exersaucer or floor time then so be it.

I felt and still feel that same way. It is just now getting to the point when they get excited to see me. It makes me feel better knowing that they still love me and get excited to see me even though I don't get to cuddle and spoil them as much as I was able to do with Gavin.
