How much baby food are you giving at each meal?

This is what we are up to....

Breakfast: 3-4 tablespoons oatmeal, 2 oz fruit

Dinner: 2oz fruit, 2 oz veggie

They probably would eat more. Should I give them more?

my pedi recommends following their lead and letting them eat as much as they wish to.
i am interested to see what others respond to you.
i wonder if it has to do with the babies weight. mine are below the 50th percentile.

My pedi said the same as pp. He said they will stop when full.
At that age I belive we did 2-3 oz of fruit mixed with a serving of oatmeal in the a.m. (each) When we started dinner at about 8.5 months, we also offered each a veggie with some cereal for dinner.

My pedi also suggests letting them eat until they're full. My guys are barely on the bottom end of the chart.

I have been wondering the same thing lately. For breakfast they have 4 tbsp of oatmeal and approx 2 oz of fruit and for dinner, 4 tbsp of rice cereal and approx 2 oz of veggies. They almost always eat it all too. I also worry that if they eat too much solids they won't drink enough breastmilk.

Mine are about the same age as yours and they are taking 3-4 bottles of 9oz each day plus 2 solid meals a day. The solid meals are:
10:00am 1/2 cup oatmeal plus 1 jar stage 2 fruit (each baby eats this much!), and 3-4 oz of bottle

4:00pm 2-2.5 jars stage 2 baby food (EACH!), plus 2-3 oz of bottle

If your babies seem to want more, I'd give them more. Take their lead on what they want. Mine love the solids and I let them fill up if they want to at their solid meals. I always offer a small bottle afterward and sometimes they drink it all, sometimes they only want an ounce.

One baby is 50% and the other is 90% for weight but they eat the same amount of food - The bigger baby was taking night feedings for about a month longer than the other and passed him up in weight.

Ok, my fat babies are eating as follows:

    8:00am - oatmeal (I don't measure it) and 1 jar stage 2 fruit

    12:00 -12:30 pm - 2 jars of stage 2 baby food usually 1 fruit & 1 veggie

5:00-6:00 pm 3 jars of stage 2 baby food - 1 meat, 1 veggie, 1 dessert or fruit.

This is between the two of them. They don't eat these amounts each. I don't know if the PP were talking about a jar each or that they were sharing a jar.

    Also, they have 4 - 6 oz. bottle of formula a day at 7:00am, 11:00 am, 3:00pm & 7:00pm

Sometimes Jenna doesn't eat as much as Jonah. She isn't as interested. But Jonah would eat until he exploded! He is huge!
