How much are your 10 months old eating?

I posted earlier today about my girls eating a lot lately. I'm wondering if what they're eating is similar to what other 10 or 11 month olds are eating.

This is a typical day for each baby:

Breakfast: 5 oz bottle, 2 oz yogurt, 2 oz applesauce

5-6 oz bottle after morning nap

Lunch: water/juice sippy, meat stick, fruit chunks, green beans, graham cracker

5-6 oz bottle after afternoon nap, sometimes a little snack of puffs or a cookie

Dinner: water/juice sippy, cheese cubes, pasta pickups, carrots or peas

    5-6 oz bottle before bed

Lately Bella especially has been wanting 7 or 8 oz bottles instead of 5 or 6 oz bottles, and has been shoveling in the food with both fists. Does this seem like a lot of food, or is this pretty normal?

We are BFing so I can't give you ounces but here goes:
    Both babies:
    6:30 am- wake and nurse
9:30- nurse and cereal and fruit- each gets a good amount of oatmeal mixed with one jar each of #2 fruit (DD does not usually eat all)
    1:30 pm- nurse
5-ish- nurse and cereal and veggie- each gets good amount of cereal (few oz) and a jar of #2 veggie each.
    7:00 pm- nurse and bed
    3 am- nurse

I offer a water sippy after dinner solids. No snacks or juice. Come January, I am going to add in a third meal.

We don't do a lot of solids yet, I guess I am putting it off a bit since they are BFing and adding a lot of solids will undoubtedly decrease my supply. But each baby is happy and gaining which is what's important.

I will say my pedi said to let them eat how much they want, they will stop when full. I asked this a few months ago when DS was being a solid-piglet.

I've noticed in the past week or so my son has seemed hungrier than he used to be. I am still only doing solids of breakfast and dinner because I just can't figure out how to squeeze lunch in. [IMG] But here is our schedule, it is pretty set during the week as I have to get my oldest to and from school at 8:30am and 3:15pm, so there isn't much room for tweaking it:

7:30-5 oz. bottle (6oz. for my son)
    9:00-oatmeal and fruit
    11:30-5 oz. bottle
12:30-I'll probably try and put lunch here
    3:45-5 oz. bottle
5:45-meat/veggie or try "people" food depending on what we are having for dinner
    7:30-6oz. bottle and bed

Mine are just now experimenting with table foods as they were preemies. It's more difficult as my oldest was on all table food and whole milk at 9 months, but she was full term, so I am finding it hard to balance formula and solids.

I would really like to somehow figure out how to include more solids or do them before bottles, but not sure how it will work with our nap schedule as it's not too flexible with my oldest in school all day.

I have a question though, if you give a bottle and solids at the same time, does your child hold the bottle or do you do it immediately after they have had their solids. I just feel like I'm feeding all day long sometimes and can't wait to get off bottles.

My girls are a little younger and not eating that much, but their appetite is definitely increasing.

    I'm just curious...what is a meat stick?

Meat sticks are made by Gerber - they're kind of like little mushy hot dogs for babies, but they don't have as much crap in them as hot dogs. I give them to my girls for protein, since most other kinds of meat are too tough for them right now and because the meat sticks are so convenient.

The only time the girls get a bottle and solids at the same time is at breakfast. For the last week or so we've been experimenting with a sippy cup with whole milk at breakfast, but only one of them will drink the milk. So we do breakfast, then bottles, and neither one of them can figure out how to hold their bottle and tip it at the same time. So I take them downstairs to our family room and prop them on pillows so they can drink their bottles.

Breakfast: 4 oz formula in a sippy cup, 2-3 pancakes each and 1/2
    banana each
Lunch: 1/2 chicken breast, can fruit, can vegs 4 oz formula in sippy

    Snack: 6-8oz bottle of formula

Dinner: usually whatever we are eating. with 4 oz sippy cup.

    4-6oz bottle before bed.

Yes my kids can eat and they are not overweight!
