How many?

I have been have a lot of BH contractions lately and I don't remember how many are too many in one hour. Just wondering if someone out there could remind me. TIA!

 

My OB always said 6 was the limit. However, she also said to call if they were stronger than usual, happening regularly (every 5 minutes or whatever), or seemed to be increasing in intensity.

 

It probably depends on your situation--first I was told more than 4, then once we knew they were having no effect on my cervix, she changed it to 6, then later it became 6 in an hour for two hours that don't go away with lying on side and drinking water

 

Prior to being on anti-contr. meds, my Dr. told me to call her any time I had more than 4 in an hr.

 

My OB makes 4/hr. the limit. That's even for "normal" pregnancies.

 

My Doctor says for twins, 4 or more an hour.

 

Wow now i feel a bit uneasy. When i was pregnant my ob said no more then 10 in an hour. I always thought that was too much but never questioned him on it...

Wow! The doctors and hospital here say 6 an hour for a singleton!

 

My OB said that the acceptable limit would increase the further along I was. At 22 weeks, he said no more than 4/hour. But that at 28 weeks, 6/hour would be the limit.
