I'm only asking because I'm measuring 6 weeks ahead and my OB measured me twice. I'm 29 weeks and measuring 35. Oh and she says that where the top of my uterus is is more like where it should be for about 36/37 weeks. So now I'm worried that I maybe in for a surprise come September! I just want to see what you are measuring because maybe it's just my uterus is so stretched from this being my 5th son and me having twins last time. TIA!

At 28 weeks, I was measuring 38! It has been 2 weeks since then, so I cant imagine what I am measuring now, but I have def grown! This is my 2nd pregnancy and my son was 9.6 born at 41.5 weeks.

Oh, and at that 28 week appt, my boys were both weighed in at 3 lbs!

At almost 24 weeks, I was measuring 31 weeks (a little more than 7 weeks ahead). From what I've read around here, I'd say we're about par for the course. ;) I definitely feel them up in my ribs already (I have a short torso). I'm pretty nervous about where they'll go from here. This is my first pregnancy.

At 26 weeks I measured 35... which is why strangers see me waddle toward them and think I'll give birth at any second! Take heart- we're all huge!

I think the issue is that there is only supposed to be one in there this time!! I always am either 2 or 3 weeks ahead or 3 weeks behind i really think it depends on wherethe babe is sitting. Id do what ever it takes to get a quick looksie and count!! Good luck!!

I don't think it's problematic to measure ahead - an ultrasound can let you know whether the baby is oversized (gestational diabetes?) but I think it really just depends on the person. I am having the opposite experience and it's so odd. I'm only measuring 30 weeks at 35 weeks (apparently) but I think it must have a lot to do with my long torso - I think I can hide a lot of baby in there (I'm 6 feet tall).

When and how do they start "measuring" you to see how far you are measuring? My DW just had her 20 weeks appt and she didnt say anything bout that to me.

I am 37.5 wks and at my appt yesterday I was measuring 5 wks ahead, this with a singleton (I got confused for a second, I thought I was in the singleton forum). I was worried for a minute but if that means baby *can* be a nice chunky one I am loving that idea.

With Dax, I measured right on. I was never big or little. With Ewan, I actually often measured a week or two behind. We were shocked when he came out at 9 1/2 lbs.
