    Hi,
With the twins I had an U/S each Dr's visit from about week 19.
So,with a singleton pregnancy how many U/S do you normally get?

Thanks & Everyone Take Care :)

My 2 older kids were born in the states , I only got one u/s at 20 weeks with them . Here they do 2 u/s , at 12 weeks and again at 20 weeks. But with the twins I had an u/s every month.

With my singleton I had one at 6 weeks to confirm pregnancy and figure out the EDD and then the 20week u/s. That was all I was supposed to get.

But I ended up getting another at 30w since I was measuring large and they wanted to re-evaluate my EDD.

1st child - 1 at 6 weeks, 1 at 20 weeks, 1 at 32 weeks to look for facial deformities
2nd child - 1 at 20 weeks, 1 at 36 weeks (somewhere around there) to see if placenta had moved up
    3rd - 1 at 10 weeks (possible twins?) 1 at 20 weeks
    4th - 1 at 20 weeks
7th - 1 at 9 weeks (to check for twins) 1 at 20 weeks, 1 at 39 weeks (check position, size and uterine scar)

It's been different with all my kiddos. Just depends what the OB is concerned about. I never had the nuchal fold u/s with any of them.

With Evan, I had one at 8 weeks to check dates. I had one at 19 weeks and then again at 26 weeks and 34 weeks due to large baby and a switch of clinics respectively. Normally it would have only been 2.

I think it depends on your OB! My 1st i had no u/s's at all. With Ty I had two. One at the end of the 2nd tri and one at the beginning of the 3rd. With the twins I had seven total. And with this baby I've had 4 so far and my OB said that I will be getting another sometime at the end of August to check on his size. All of my pregnancies I've had different OB's due to insurance changes.

With my first I had just 2, like most normal healthy singleton pregnancies.
With the twins I had probably around 10 total.
With Julianna I had around 15 because of bleeding.

I think 1 or 2 in general. I may get more with this one to help judge the size as Becca was so big and I'm PETRIFIED of going through that again. :)

I had one with my first - at 16wks

two with my 2nd (one was to confirm m/c - it confirmed I'd m/c'd a twin, 2nd was a routine one at 18wks)

two with my 3rd (one routine at 19wks, one at 32 to check the placenta which had been low lying)

1 at about 18-20 weeks if there are no problems.

If there are no complications suspected, my OB does one at 11-12 weeks, one at 20 weeks (find out the gender!), and one at about 36 to check position.

So far, I had one at 7 weeks (to check due date because I'd been irregular, but the baby was exactly what I said), and my next one is at 11 wks.
