I have no idea how many more teeth my boys are supposed to get. Right now they have 4 on the top and bottom in the front, and four back molars coming in. Are they supposed to get one more set of molars, and the canine teeth? Is that it?

And one more question, is that a lot of teeth for a one year old? People keep coming up to me and saying, "Oh look how many teeth they have?" They got their first teeth at 3 months old, which I know is early. If they get their other teeth early do you think this means the second set of molars and canine teeth should come in early?

Can you tell I'm ready for this teething thing to be over. :) Poor Mark's toothbrush was bloody tonight.

Rachel, I dont know whats "normal" but I'll tell you my kids are 4 months older than yours.
We have 4 teeth across the front, 4 teeth across the bottom, 4 molars (2 top/2 bottom) and it looks like they've got more coming through as we speak.
I think kids are supposed to have all 20 by 2 years of age? let them get them in and over with! Teething is so hard on everyone!

It would be nice if they could get their other molars soon. Maybe "they have so many teeth" is just something people say to make conversation. I know for a long time they did have more than any other babies I personally knew, when I though they were teething at three months nobody believed me, except my Mom. I'm just hoping they get the other teeth early too.

I do believe it is 20 teeth. My DS (at 18 months) is working on his 2nd year molars but nothing has popped through yet. DD has 14 teeth, still needs to get the incisors in, which are just starting to peek through and the 2nd year molars. I am so ready for teething to be over. It makes me

Yup, 20 teeth. 5 in each quadrant. We've had 4 in each quadrant since they were less than one.

    My alice is an alicegator.
