How many swimsuits?

Last summer we didn't take the kids to any pools or anything at all for various reasons. This year, I've signed the girls up for swimming lessons at their daycare in June and we plan on spending at least a week at my parents' house on the lake. They each got a cute swimsuit from the Easter Bunny but I'm thinking they need a couple more. How many do y'all get for your kids for a season? And where do you like to buy them?

    TIA!

My boys have 3 new ones for this year, but I got them all on clearance last fall. I got mine at Kohl's and Children's Place. My boys aren't pool/ocean kids, but they love the sprinkler and water table. They say they will try the pool this year -- one can hope. I would get at least one more.

We had 3 last year, this year we have 2. I bought them a rash guard suit at Target and a tankini from Lands End. Target has a good selection and great prices.

2 each. Both of my kids are very fair so they wear the rashguard from Lands End. Lands End has great stuff on sale now and I think free shipping. They also totally stand behind their products so you can return anytime.

My son has a few bottoms from Old Navy that have held up well.

Mine have 2 each...one that stays at grandmas. She has a pool and one that we keep at home for sprinklers or going to the beach. I buy suits on clearance in July or Aug for the next year.

My boys each have two each. You need for sure one more. We only had one each for this winter and we would go swimming in the indoor pool and we would then have the "who wants to put on a wet suit" dilemma. I like to get mine at Target. I usually buy them at the end of the summer for the next year for like 2 bucks.

I have 4 for each girl, all modest 2-piece (for easier pottying). We live about 2 blocks from the lake and have a really nice park/beach that they use all the time. Plus they have a small pool in the yard. I keep one of the suits (each) at daycare for when they do water play there.

We used the same number last summer. We wear bathing suits a lot around here. :)

Mine have 5 each. Although to be fair, their birthday was April, so they got 4 for their birthday! I bought 1 more, because I couldn't resist the cuteness at Target!

They have a "water play" day at school each week, plus they love playing out in the sprinkler, water table, etc ... so we get good use out of them!

My girls lived in their bathing suits last the summer and will probably again this summer. They had 4 each last summer and since those all still fit and we got a bunch more hand-me-downs from a twin friend, they'll have 6-7 each this summer. Its too much I know, but I'm guessing some of the one pieces won't get much use if we are PTing this summer. They are from Lands End, Target, Old Navy and Gap.

2 for each of them. I found swimsuits for Alyssa at Gymboree (they have great ones that are really well made), but they can be expensive if you don't get them on sale. I've also seen them at Target and Walmart for great prices. Parker's are from Target and Carter's. They fit okay, but definitely not my favorites since they don't fit him well. I think next year i might try Old Navy for him and maybe for Alyssa also just to see how well they keep up.

I always get each of my kids 2 bathing suits each summer. For my oldest DD I usually get them at Kohl's, but for the twins I get them at Target, they have a good selection at good prices.

We had 3 each last year, go swimming all of the time (sometimes more than once per day) and 3 was plenty. I probably could get by with 2 if they didn't play the dirt pile to kiddie pool to dirt pile game so often. I rarely go two days without doing a load of laundry so that makes a difference also.

Our favorite suits are from Osh Kosh. Carters makes some cute ones but their sizing is all over the place and it ticks me off to buy two different 4Ts and have one be falling-off big while the other fits like a 3. I got an email that Old Navy is having a sale right now on their suits so that might be a good place to check.

T&T are still fitting in their suits from last year so I'm waiting for the clearance sales to buy the next size up.

Thanks y'all! I'll probably get them each 2 more. I saw today that Children's Place has their's for 25% off right now making them about $10. I'll check out Target and Old Navy too.

For swimming lessons I have a suit from Lands End for Ali that's really good quality and fit! Since she's going to be using it a lot (last year's wore out fast from Target). But I got a couple of shirt/bottom combo suits for outdoor swimming. So three for her and two for him with a spf rash guard for him as well!! we have 2 weeks of swimming in June that's outside!

I've only ever had one for each kid. I just rinse them off when we get home and hang them to dry and they're ready to go the next morning. I've always used the Baby Banz swimsuits because they really protect the skin and aren't skimpy. Onestepahead.com has a good selection of protective swimsuits as well.
