My twins were 32w1d. They are 38w5d today. They have been eating about 90cc/feeding, and 8 times/day (3 hours betwwen feeding). is it not enough or too much?

Mine were born at 34w1d. Today they are 37w4d. They eat about 75ccs (or 2 1/2 oz) every 3 hrs during the day and every 3-4 hrs at night. DS usually finishes his completely, DD usually eats all but about 1/2 oz. They seem to be gaining weight and doing just fine. I'd say as long as they seem satisfied with what they are getting and aren't starting to get hungry sooner, it's probably okay.

Seems like a pretty good amount. Ours were born at 33w 1 day. (now 7 months old!) I found when they didn't seem to last the 3 hrs, it was time to try a little more. I usually increased by 5cc's at a time so not to overwhelm their tummies:) Oh and there is actually a calculation of what to feed them according to their weights but I would go more by your babies cues. The calculation is a bit of a guidline maybe-- you take your babies weight and times it by 2.5 and that equals the number of ounces it should be getting per day, so then divide that by 8 feeds (feeding every 3 hrs. But like I said, its better to let you baby guide you for what it wants.

If they seem satisfied, then that is exactly the right amount. When they consistently drain the bottles and look like they could maybe take a little more, start putting a half ounce more in. My clue that they were getting enough was when they always left a little bit in the bottom of the bottle.

    totally agree!

there is no "right amount" unfortunately. some babies will chug through all the milk you can give them. others eat so little that you wonder how they can possibly gain weight. i would do exactly as PP suggested and offer a little more than they usually eat. when they're totally draining bottles, add another half or full ounce. when they're leaving just bit in the bottle you know they've drunk their fill.
