If they're drinking the entire 4 oz, then I would add another ounce. It varied so much at that age for us. Sometimes they ate 4 oz, other times they'd eat 5 and sometimes only 3. If they're not finishing the 4 oz bottle, then their signs of "hunger" might just be that they need to suck, so you could try giving a pacifier.

At 3 months, mine slept 12-13 hours at night, and ate 4 8 oz. bottles a day.

At that age my girls were drinking about 4 6oz bottles a day.

Mine at 4 ounces 8 times a day. As pp post stated, I would increase if they are finishing the 4 oz at each feeding . . . especially if they are still acting hungry. It's all a mystery!

Our little boy takes four to five 6.5 oz bottles a day, our little girl takes four to five 5.5 oz bottles a day, both sleep at least 7 hours straight at night.

Our ped. said you should make 1 more oz than they usually drink and see how they do, if they drink it rapidly without "playing" or lingering on the nipple, it means they need it, if they play or linger than they might not need the extra oz.
