I had mine at 35+1 both vaginally. Waters broke on thurs at lunch time, but labor didn't start until following day around 9. Ds came flying out at 12:20 and dd at 12:27. All went very smooth. Well except ds had cord around neck twice and was blue. But other then that all was great. I was in the shower and walking around with a couple hours of having them.
Congratulations on making it to 36 weeks  .

how were you twins weights? Did you get to take them home with you or did they stay in the hospital? What is the normal stay anyway for moms?

Born vaginally after a scheduled induction at 38w2d. Pitocin started at 6.00 am. Pushed 4 times for Baby A (girl), she was born at 10.32 am and weighed 7lbs11oz. My boy was born feet first (breech extraction) and weighed 7lbs10oz. He was born 4 minutes later. Spent 2 nights in the hospital and they came home with me.

Very smooth and easy (unlike my first vaginal delivery ... very very long, but still smooth).

My ds weighed 5.14 and dd 5.8 .No nicu or anything. I was going to go home next day, but they wanted to keep me one more day since they were twins and were 5 wks early. Otherwise, here in the UK, they kick you out as soon as possible. A friend had her baby couple weeks back and she was back home 2 hours after having baby.My older children were born in CA. I stayed overnight with both of them. I'm sure every state or hospital is differant. Also depends on your insurance.

I had mine at 39 weeks 2 days vaginally, Baby B went vertex but I had no problem delivering him Baby A had a big noggin and they held out on the episotomy until I yelled for them to just do it! I was tired LOL!

They were born at 2:38am and 3:08am both were 6lbs. 10ozs. no NICU time they were born on Wed. 12/21/05 and I was home on 12/23/05 just in time for Christmas..the best ever! I believe C-section is 5 days and vaginally with no problems is 3 days. GL!

I went in to labor at 36 weeks-doctor broke baby A's water, then gave me an epideral(that was the best I felt in months), then pitocin, dilated to a 10 after three and half hours, wheeled to the OR and had baby A after about 10 minutes, then doctor broke baby B's water and about 7 minutes later out came baby B! It went so smooth, I couldnt believe it! They were both healthy and came straight to my room with me...I couldnt have asked for a better birth story!!
I hope yours goes just as well-good luck!

this is a wonderful post.. the c/s idea has me so scared.. I have had 7 vaginal deliveries and my worst fear each time is the c/s.. I know I have to face the idea that it may happen but I am so hoping to deliver vaginally.

I had mine vaginally at 38.5 weeks. I was induced at 9am, had A at 2:17am and B at 2:45am. I didn't progress well during the day, so they broke my water at 6pm and things progressed from there. Had my epidural about 8Pm, then again around 10pm (yes, I had to have it re-done...so worth it though!!!). Both babies were 6lbs 2 oz. We stayed 3 nights since I had them in the middle of the the 1st night, they gave me 2 nights after that. They both went home with me. I kept the girls in the room with me most of the time during the day and sent them to the nursery at night. The nurse would just bring them in when it was time to nurse.

    Good luck!

I did and I was glad I was able to. On the other hand, I was so glad to have my babies after IF treatments that I didn't really care too much if I didn't. It was a pretty smooth and quick recovery process though!
