How many hours of sleep

My girls are 4 1/2 months and i was just wondering about how many hours of sleep they should be getting a night...How old are your twins and how many hours of sleep do they get per night?

 

12 hours a night for the first year.

 

Mine are 3 1/2 months and sleep around 12 hours at night.

 

Our boys are 6.5 months old actual age, and about 4 months old adjusted age. They go to bed between 7pm and 7:30pm every night, and STTN until 5am or 5:30am. So they get about 10 hours of sleep each night, plus they take about 4 naps during the day that are about 30 minutes to an hour each.

 

Just remember that there's always a range. Also, there isn't much you can do to control how much your babies sleep, beyond giving them a good environment for sleeping (dark, quiet, etc.) -- some sleep more, some less. If yours are sleeping a lot, you're lucky, and if they're not, it's not your fault.

I think my girls went to bed around 7:00 at that age and more or less slept until about 6:30, but Amy woke twice for feedings (Sarah was sleeping through by that point), so she probably got a total of 1/2 hour less sleep. They also napped a few times a day for 45-60 minutes at a time (their naps didn't get longer until around 6-7 months).

 

Mine sleep 11-12 hours a night.

 

I'm with Aimee, 12 hours per night for the whole first year with my kids.

 

Mine would go to bed at 7, wake to eat around 11 and 2 (or 10, 1, 4 on wonderful days ) then get up for the day at 6. Mine didn't sleep 12 hours straight until...wait, they never really did! 11 hours in one block is usually the most they get. That started after doing CIO at 7.5 months w/ pedi approval. Hang in there momma!

 

Mine go to bed around 7:30-8p and wake up around 7-7:30a. So about 11-12 hours.
