WOW! I would have never imagined this, but my Katie is basically already sleeping through the night. She goes down at 10 PM and sleeps until 5 AM, I feed her and she is asleep again until 7-8 AM.

My twins NEVER did anything like this until they were 4-6 months old. Am I lucky or what!?

So anyone else with 1 month olds who actually sleep through the night?

I WISH my 1 month olds had done that. None of mine did - you are very lucky IMO. If you can figure out the secret, you could make a fortune!

Jamie you are so, so lucky. My older DD did nice stretches like that at about 6 weeks so when the twins were born I was in total shock for like 9 months until they decided to grant me my one wish!! :D WTG Katie!!

Ok Jamie! It's not nice to show off like that!!!

YAY!!! GOOD GIRL KATIE!! NOW DO NOT CHANGE THAT!! lol!! That's awesome Jamie! I hope it's always like that. She's probably so tired from watching whirlwind Jack and Zack that she's exhausted! ;)

Please send me your recipe!!!! My mother insists that my next one will be a sleeper because "I have one coming." ie...none of my other ones were great at sleeping through the night.... I just tell her that I think my twin dd was my "sleeper"... she did sleep through on her own...at 3 months... my other two had to do CIO (wah!) at 5 months.... and prior to that they were up every 2 hours every night!!! I'm sooooo not ready to go back to those sleepless nights.... I really hope this one loves sleeping at night! But I'm not holding my breath!

    I hate you.

My guy is pushing 15 months and I can still count on one hand the number of times he's slept through the night. He generally gets up three times and wants to nurse. I feel lucky when I only have to go in there twice.

My oldest was sleeping 8-9 hours at 6 weeks and even my twin girl slept 8 to 6 at 6 weeks of age. My oldest was (and is) an absolute perfect sleeper, 7 to 7 at 3 months, 6 to 7 at 4 months, and even now she still sleeps 12 hours a night, never wakes up, still naps when she's home.

The twins are sleeping 6.30 to 5.30 am ... we have trouble getting them past 6 am ... somebody is always waking the other up ... we're going to seperate as soon as we go to a new house, and let them figure it out. They slept long stretches early on; we're just struggling with the early wake up time, however they do go back down til 7.00 am. No way, I am up with my kids before 7 am.

Knock on wood, cross your fingers, and don't tell too many people about this! It's wonderful - but I don't want you to jinx yourself!!

Shhh...! Don't jinx it!! My DD slept through the night early, but it ended at 2 months. Glad you got a good night sleep! (or were you up all night wondering when she was going to wake? :umm:

My sister's kids all slept through pretty early. She said with their 3rd, she and her husband were wondering why he wouldn't sleep through......he was only 6 weeks old.

Crossing my fingers that your little angel keeps up the good work! That is so awesome. :)

My oldest DD was like that. It would take forever to get her to fall asleep, but once she did, she was out for the rest of the night. I thought she was the best sleeper in the world...until about 11 months. She has barely slept since then!

my older dd did it at 9 weeks. and she's been a perfect sleeper ever since. until this year, when bedtime became a fight. but she is still an amazing sleeper, once she falls asleep. in another post, i will give everyone the secret that our peds gave us. they swear that most of their newborns are sleeping through the night by one month.

I figure it is because she is awake quite a bit throughout the day. I have took the advice from the books and my pedi about going on with regular daily activities like washing clothes, vacuuming, doing all the noisy things... it doesn't seem to bother her. I think also, when she eats her 9 PM bottle, that helps... she guzzles down 5 ounces. Also, I do a routine with her every night, I lay her in the floor for tummy time, and we play and I talk to her and keep her entertained for quite sometime. Then I rub her with the calming lotion, and feed her the bottle, then lay her in the bassinet, and she is out like a light!

I am definitely counting my blessings... the boys were horrible night babies!
