[SIZE=12pt]Just one! I think I was secretly hoping for 2 again. One seems a bit uneventful in a way. Did anybody else feel like that? Anyway I'm happy! The baby's little heart was beating at 150 beats per min. The baby is in a great place, and everything looks very healthy. The doc doesn't think I will need a cerclage this time or bedrest! Won't that be great?

Here is a little picture. Kind of blurry, but there!

That is wonderful that you have a healthy little babe in there!! We were hoping and praying for 2 with Molly, in fact my numbjers were so high that my doc thought there were two but low and behold one. I have to say that now I am thrilled that there was just my Molly, it is such a different experience!!

We, too, secretly hoped for two the second time around...but it is nice to experience a singleton, too!! Best wishes for a healthy pregnancy!!!

I see it, I see it!!! Sounds like a great appt!!! Having one really is uneventful...sometimes I "forgot" I was pregnant. Just no one really fusses over you like they do with twins...lol. GOODLUCK with the rest of the pregnantcy.

Having just the one isn't "uneventful" for me...just different. I often get scared thinking about how am I going to care for just 1 baby and I have help this time!! The boys' dad did NOTHING so I did it all and now with one less baby and an extra adult...can I manage?

    Congrats on the little one=)

I totally think it's ironic that us moms of twins turn around and say "oh, it's just one." I think it's hilarious but it's true. I guess we're so used to fuss made about having multiples that having one is just that...having one.

Glad the appointment went well and that everything looked good!

I thought we'd be guessing too. Happy to hear the great news.

Congrats! I know exactly how you feel about just one. Funny I say that because this started as another twin pregnancy and I was flipping out over how I would do it. Then one vanished and I still have no idea how I would have managed but I feel terribly let down. Sometimes I have to remind myself we are only having one and it will probably hit me at the hospital when I only have one  I don't miss all the extra doctor visits though. Glad everything is going well for you.

Ditto!! mine started out as a twin pregnancy and I was worried, but then very disappointed when one vanished! Good to hear you had a good appt.

THis makes my 3rd single baby after having had twins and I feel like that each and every time we find that there is just 1. LOL! I guess I am always secretly...or not so secretly...hoping for 2. Having twins has been such an amazing journey for our family. I was pretty convinced there were definitely 2 this go around since I was so very sick, so very huge and got such a very early, very positive test. But a u/s at 11 wks showed one very healthy, growing baby that was right on target for when I ovulated. LOL! I've now come to the conclusion that size, m/s and tests just do not say anything at all as far as indicators go. I'm thinking that with 3 singles before and 3 singles after the odds for another set aren't looking too good for us. LOL! Who knows. I know that I'm done guessing and suspecting there's 2 everytime I get pregnant now though.

Congratulations on a good ultrasound! With both of my post-twin pregnancies, I was wondering if there was more than one baby until I got that u/s. Last time I was a little disappointed to "only" see one baby but this time I was relieved. Having experienced a singleton, I have decided I like it. ;)

Congratulations! That is the question I get most often now "Are you sure it's just one this time?" I LOVED having my twins but I really LOVED my singleton as well so I'm really looking forward to this one. Fun!
