Have you weaned quickly (cold turkey) or over a longer period of time?

    I started pumping 4 5 minutes instead of 20 for about 3 days then quit cold turkey.QUOTE(fuchsiagroan @ Oct 8 2008, 07:10 PM)

I'd pump to ease the discomfort.. not enough to stimulate milk production, but enough to relieve some pressure. Sudafed might help. Good luck!

same just pump to take away the fullness mine took 2 wks to completely dry up but i still feel tingles when the babies cry not painful now thou--some pain meds help like Tylenol but mostly the small pumping sessions.

Did you try cabbage leaves? I am weening, too and I heard this works, I haven't tried it yet because I am not having too much pain but this might be because I was exclusivly pumping. I guess this is how it works...Use green cabbage leaves. Crush them with a rolling pin if the leaves don't fit well to the shape of your breasts. Or cut off the tops of the leaf veins - whatever gives you the best fit. The leaves can stay on for about 20 minutes, two or three times a day, perhaps with a cold compress over them.
