How long will this phase last?

My boys are going through a phase where they can't get enough mommy time. They will be playing together and if they catch me out of the corner of their eye, they cry and want me to pick them up. It's really bad during the evening hours. Did your children go through this phase and how long will it last? I love my boys, but it is mentally draining for me. I am holding a baby all day long.

Well, at that age they are probably having seperation anxiety. My older 2 didn't want to be away from mommy until they were just over a year old and even then they were right under my feet (and still are for that matter )

 

My 3 yo is STILL in that phase

Yep, my thoughts exactly. It lasts a little while, I won't lie. It even goes away and comes back at one year, or a little after. (It did for me anyway).

 

I have this issue also. Leighanna had seperation anxiety today really bad. I was in the kitchen doing the dishes and she was standing up by the gate watching me, but that wasn't good enough she had to be right next to me. She stood there and yelled until I gave in and let her in the kitchen. I feel your pain!

 

Mine are going through this phase. When they are a little tired, it's horrible! I feel like I'm dodging my own babies when I need to step away. I try to figure out how to get around without being spotted. It's nice to be needed, but dang, I hope it's a short phase, too
