DTD? DH is going crazy. He has been so sweet to me since Zack was born. I think he finally realizes what I do to keep 3 kids happy and healthy. He makes it a point to rub my back while I am nursing Zack and while I am pumping for him. When we lay in bed he wants to cuddle and he knows that its not going anywhere. I know it is killing him to wait until I see the Dr. My appt is actually 7 weeks after Zack was born due to scheduling. Anyway, I feel like I am ready, but is there some medical reason to wait to see the Dr? The bleeding has all but stopped, I have some spotting, but nothing heavy or very often.

Sorry this maybe TMI, but I just wondered what everyone else has done.

I have heard conflicting times, but its really based on your doctor. but most say 4-6 weeks, or when your ready. They prefer you wait. I dont think we have ever waited the full 6 weeks

With the boys we waited 3weeks. After the bleeding stopped and I felt comfortable we DTD. We took it slow and everything was fine.

Am I the only one with no drive? We're at 4 weeks now and the nurse had stated 3-4 weeks (vbac). It was 6 weeks after a c-section. I am spotting some and need to do my kegal exercises . I couldn't believe it when she said only 3-4 weeks.

If you feel ready and you've stopped bleeding, you're probably okay. With my first, we waited 5 weeks and even though he was gentle, it hurt horribly. (I did have a pretty bad tear, though, and that probably contributed.) WIth the boys, we waited about seven and it was wonderful.

I haven't had much of a sex drive at all since after the twins were born :( I'm trying to at least be better at making the effort...I feel like DH is deprived! We only hae 2 times since Olivia was born.

Our boys are a few days apart and I am also feeling frisky. Let's go for it. If you are like me, who knows when the mood may strike again.
