How long do you sleep each day?

I'm just curious how much you sleep each day if you are on bedrest. It seems like I shouldn't need this much sleep, but last night I slept 11 hours. I really try hard not to nap during the day because it messes me up at night.

I usually go to bed around 12 and sleep until 11 so ya, about 11 hrs. But I don't count it as a straight 11 hrs because I am up to potty so much. I do take a nap when I am sleepy and I am still able to get to bed at night!! I feel so lazy but it is all worth it in the end I suppose. Won't be getting any sleep after the tykes are here, or so I've been told, so I get as much now as I can :lazy:

Because I'm in the hospital, I rarely go to sleep before 10pm. (That's when they do the last round of vitals for the night.) That also means that I usually start waking up around 7am when the day shift starts and things just get louder. I do nap a lot during the day though. (Usually when there's nothing on TV.)

One thing to remember is that by being on bedrest your energy levels go down so getting tired is easier. I'm allowed to get up and shower every 2 days and it's gotten to where just that little bit of activity makes me tired. Sad, I know! Thankfully, DH will be taking a lot of time off when the babies come home because I'm so wiped out.

I am trying to stay with my "pre-bedrest" schedule (note the keyword is trying). I go to bed at 9 and get up at 7 to say bye to my son before he leaves for school and so we can have "snuggle time" (he is 5). I usually take a 2 hour nap during the day (that is not part of my normal schedule, but I am soooooooooooo tired). I agree that being on bedrest does mess up your energy level.

I would love that much sleep now. :) When I was on bedrest, home and hospital, I think I would sleep about 10 hours at night and then probably take a nap during the day as well, most days. It's hard, I got bored.

I try to sleep from about 10 pm to 9 am, but it's hard to do that in the hospital. I get woken up at midnight to take medication, then morning vital signs, rounding and breakfast all start happening around 5:30-8 AM. I don't usually take naps either because every time I try, someone inevitably wakes me up.
