If twins were your first and you decided to have more kids, how long did you wait to have your third child?

My twins are 2.5 and we are hoping to have more (as in be pregnant) soon.

BUT that said, we absolutely have to do IVF/ICSI to get pregnant and so there was no 'trying/surprises' to think about- it was schedule with the clinic, go through the procdures and the results are out of our hands! I have an appointment to talk to the clinic next week! So it we are lucky and it works for us- our twins and the next baby will be about 3 1/4 years a part. A bit far for me, but a bit close for DH- so it is a compromise!!

We are in the midst of the homestudy process for adoption. We also had to go through IVF/ICSI, and if you had asked me during the first year, I would have said no way do we want another! Since we are adopting this time, it's a little uncertain as to exactly when we will have the third baby, but I'm guessing probably when they are between 3 - 3.5. I don't know if that's ideal or not, but I would like them to be potty trained, out of cribs, and a bit more independent before the next baby is here.

The twins and the new baby will be 23 months apart to the day! Personally, we were aiming for 3 years old and potty trained...

Our girls will be just over 3 when the new baby arrives. I too am hoping to get them potty trained before I have another one in diapers!

Mine are almost 4yrs apart. We started trying when the girls were a little over 2 1/2 but it took a while to get pregnant. I do wish we had ours a little closer together but I think the age difference was nice that they were more independent and I got to enjoy him a little bit more since they could play on their own and I could sit and hold him.

The girls will be 3 1/4 when the baby arrives. We also had to go through IVF both times and it took more tries the second time around, but I'm glad for the spacing because the girls are potty trained, out of cribs, can understand and help so much more, etc.

The plan was to start trying after the boys turned 2...of course, if you look at my ticker, not everything goes according to plan.

We'll be just shy of 2 years, when this one hopefully makes its appearance.

Dittp ;) We needed IVF/ICSI to concieve our twins after TTC for 5 years. This pregnancy was a huge shock. We planned to TTC when they were 2 but looks like this new little one will be born when they are 22 months :)

Mine just turned 2 and we recently started trying again. Our twins are IVF babies but I was unexplained IF, so we are hoping not to have to do IVF again. We're actually not even sure we will do IVF again, we're going to try the old fashioned way for 6 months then decide.

Ideally my twins would be out of diapers before a new one arrives.
