How long can you use crib tents?

I haven't bought them, but have been thinking about it for a while now. They are almost 21 months old and are climbing everything when they are awake, so I think it is a matter of time until they try to get out of their cribs. With two new little ones coming, I know there are going to be those times when I cannot get to them right away to get them out of bed and I am afraid they are going to take the plunge(s).

Anyone have a good recommendation on a specific brand or style?

 

We used ours with Erick until he moved to the big bed just before three. Kayci is actually still in her crib but I took the crib tent off about the same time as Erick because she puked all over the inside! :bad: I took it off to wash it and never put it back on. We got the Crib Tent II that covers the whole crib. Well worth it!

 

I got the Cozy Crib Original version (not the Cozy Crib II) because both of our cribs are odd shapes (one has solid ends, the other is a sleigh) and I had heard that the II might not fit. I also sort of like that the tents don't go all the way to the mattress -- DH and I can at least stick a hand through the slats to pet the girls at night.

They'll be 3 in November and we're still using them. For all I know, they could safely climb in & out of the cribs by this time, but I don't want them getting any ideas.

 

Great thanks for the info! Sounds like now is a perfect time to get them for them especially since I will have to go up a level to get to them and after the c/s that is going to take a while.

 

I put my boys tents on their cribs at 23 months and they are still on their cribs. They will be 3 a few days before Christmas and after the holidays I will be switching them to toddler beds . I don't want any extra stress around the holidays so the tents will stay on until then.

 

We have the original crib tents. I think I got them for under $50/each at Walmart.com. Mine will be used for just about 2 years before we are done with them.
