How long can you have "fun" with DH without risking ptl?

I keep hearing about "fun" inducing labor and I know it is usually safe with a singleton to do it up until the end, but when should you stop with twins? I get so nervous about it inducing ptl. I have no signs of ptl at all, no dilation, no contractions, no issues at all. So I know it is probably still safe to do, but it does scare me. I'm just feeling bad for DH. When did you all stop or didn't you at all?

My doc is cutting dh and me off from "fun" starting at 24 weeks.

We stopped having "fun" at 22 weeks and I guess it's a good thing.

It's something that's actually in sperm that causes labour so I've heard that as long as you use a condom you should be fine :unknw:

We had "fun" right up until I had them.

Talk to your doctor. We were never advised to stop :)

I would definately ask your Dr. about this one. We couldn't from 20-31 wks because of placenta previa and issues with my cervix, but after that we were good to go as long as he used a condom. We had "fun" up until 37wks I would say:)

I was put on total pelvic rest in the beginning with the girls - but things did get a bit steamy at 20 weeks he used a condom and we were fine but I still feel relieved that nothing happened because we were not supposed to!

Im going to Peri on Wed so that is something i am going to ask about. We still do "it" pretty often, without condom. I hope i am not messing things up

Hasn't helped me yet. . . ;) If you have no sign of ptl to start with, it's probably fine. If you find it gives you a lot of contractions or something it might be time to back off. Talk to your doctor and your own body.

I agree with the other girls that said talk to your doc. Everyone's situation is different. I am extremely high risk (minus the fact of twins) and DH and I haven't DTD since Nov. 27th. Ugh! I have a history of early loss, twin gestation, cerclage, previa, and now funneling that have made "fun" off limits until we're ready to deliver. I'm sure I'll have NO interest then. :)
