How long after PTL did you deliver?

I went into PTL at 33w 2days and the docs managed to stop it with a 3 day dose of Nifidipine to give the bubs steroid shots for their lungs. Just wondering if anyone else went through the same and how long after did you go into actual labor and delivered?

BTW - my nursary is almost ready except for one painting which should arrive end of this week, shopping is all done except I guess I'll never stop buying and stocking diapers...my parents are flying over tonight, we are picking our new SUV on Friday :a_smil09: and DH seems to be nesting!!! So it's all a waiting game for me now....it sure has been a long wait!!!

I continued to carry for 7 weeks (also was on Nifedipine and got steroids).

Sounds like things are falling into place for you!!! Enjoy the home stretch!

 

I had my first spell of PTL at 30w when I got my steroid shots, was hospitalized for 5 days, & was started on Nifedipine and bedrest. Then another PTL scare at 33w, putting me in the hospital until 34w. Stopped Nifedipine at 34w1d, dropped to Level I bedrest at 35w. Will go COMPLETELY off bedrest at 36w, although will continue to take it easy (more so b/c I can't do much after laying in bed for 6 wks & b/c I've gotten so big!). OH & I suppose I should mention that I've been dilated to 4cm, 50-60% effaced, & -1 station since 33w.

Ironically, I just scheduled my csection yesterday for July 24th! I'll be 36w tomorrow, so it CAN BE DONE !

Hope you get everything finalized before the big day...sounds like it's all falling into place for you!!!!

PTL at 29 weeks, then bedrest for 8 and induced at 37 weeks (had trouble coming out at that point induced for two days haha)

31 weeks I went into PTL and got the shots and was on procardia. I delivered at 36 weeks.

 

I'm not sure whether what I had even really qualified as PTL, but I had an episode of regular (every 3 minutes) contrax at 29w. My cervix didn't dilate, though. I was given 2 shots of terbutaline, and then was on terb pills every 4 hours for the rest of the pregnancy. They kept me in the hospital overnight, then I was sent home on modified bedrest (allowed to get up and pee or get myself a glass of water, but not much else). I had no other problems until my scheduled c/s at 37 weeks.

 

PTL started at 32.5 wks. I ended up on Mag and on hosp BR till 36 wks. At 36.3 wks they sent me home to go into labor on my own, and I delivered at 36.5 wks.

 

I went on Nifedipine and then Mag. while on hospital bedrest at 33 weeks. I delivered at 35 weeks, 4 days after being off the mag for about 12 hours!

I'm actually surprised they stopped it at 33 weeks! I made it 6 weeks after PTL. I went into PTL at 26 weeks and delivered at 34 b/c one of the twins had stopped growing so they did the c-section. I'm pretty sure I could have made it to 36-37 had we not had those growth issues b/c the PTL was totally under control by 28 weeks.

 

Haven't had my twins yet, but with my son, I was hospitalized at 30 weeks with my son for PTL. Was on strict bedrest after getting the round of steroid shots and delivered at 35w 6d
