Just wondering if anyone knows the chances of having a second set of twins? Mine are identical but I'm wondering about fraternal too. Thanks!

For me personally, my doc told me that the chances for me having a second set of twins was 60% and will increse with age... (My girls are faternal).

your chances of having a second set of identicals is about 1 in 70,000 (i've researched it too!).

your chances of having fraternals depends on a lot of factors - your chances are higher if there are fraternal twins in your family, if you've had fraternal twins already, if you are conceiving with fertility treatments, the older you are when you conceive, and with each pregnancy. otherwise, you'll have the same sort of chance of fraternal twins as the general population (i've seen 1.7% or a 1 in 60 chance quoted - that rate is for spontaneous fraternal twins).

My chances were about 50% due to to my size, age, and the fact that I've already had a set of fraternals.

    Uhhhh no thank you!

My Doc told me that because my boys are the 6th set of ID twins in my family that my chance of having another set of twins is 80%.

Thankfully, we only wanted two children. Got it over all in one time!
