I have been sick for a day or so, and just started up with a low grade fever...I took some tylenol, which I hate to do, but I figure that is better than a fever. How high is too high (it is currently about 98.7 axillary, and that is as high as it has gone so far)? When should I worry? TIA ladies!

My OB told me to call if it was over 100.5. And you are right about taking the Tylenol...it is better to take it than have a fever. Call your doc if you are concerned.

Ugh! I hope hope hope that it doesnt go any higher. It was just 99.1 axillary (so 100.1 for real) and I am worrying. I am going to take some more tylenol (i didnt take a full dose) and if it doesnt go down within a half an hour, ill call someone. Thanks! :)

I was told for headaches that exra strength tylenol was ok, so it should be fine for a fever as well. Also, try lying down with a fan on, this can help bring your temperature down, also a cool face cloth on your forehead.

I really hope that the tylenol works and that the fever goes away. Get lots of rest and keep us posted :hug99:
