I am so proud of dd, we started training 3 days ago and no pee accidents and one poop accident, she is doing so wonderfully :clapping: But ds won't go on the potty, he will sit there and NEED to go but then get off and pee is underwear. We try the beginning of each day and so far no luck. So I am wondering if this is normal.

I voted "same time" because we started training at the same time and they "got it" within 1/2 day of each other. I have heard/read that it is the boy that usually learns last; however, in our case...it was the opposite!

Mine are both girls -- one trained at 35 months and the other at 38 months. With a girl and a boy, it can be even farther apart.

I voted other because its been over a year. Kenna trained at like 2yr5mos. Well the babies are now 3yrs 8mos...and Mitchell still wears pull-ups. Its soo frustrating because I see that it can be done. He has pooped in the potty twice and has peed many times. Just nothing consistent...just waiting and waiting...

I believe they were a little older then yours, a little over 3 I think, but E decieded she was done with diapers one day (no pull ups or anything), and probably only had 1 or 2 accidents after that, probably within a week I wanted to be done, but was only making it to the potty maybe 30% or the time. He was in pull ups for a few days, and you could tell he was really concentrating on getting to the potty. We put him in underpants and with another week or so he was good to go. It was probably a month or so after that for mostly dry nights for both of them. I always say that potty training was easy for us, but I think it was just that we stopped worrying about it, but still offered for them to wear underwear, and they just figured it out for themselves even though they were older than some kids we know, I was willing to deal with diapers for a few extra months and save myself the frustration.

I voted months. I started PTing Emilie in Oct. and started the beginning of Jan. with Trevor.

We were months. While I started both of them in April last year, Meghan took to it right away and Nolan did not. He was trained in July.

ETA: Just wanted to add, when Nolan did train, he didn't want to sit at all. He started right out standing.

My two trained about 3 months apart. Emma first.

My trained at the same time. It was when they were 2 years and 7 months old. Blake did end up having more accidents, but he was essentially trained. As for number 2 though... that was months. DD did it right away and DS would do it in his Pull-up every night.

Katherine was potty trained before Michael. She was just ready. He was not ready AT ALL.

He trained a few weeks after her.

They have both had few accidents.

Night time: He wears underwear to bed. She is still in a pull-up. Go figure!
