DH & I do these differently, and honestly, I think his way is harder & he does it that way just to have his own method  I won't tell which is which, I was just wondering what is the most common...

FYI - You always need to put the water in first! If you put the powder in first, your measurements will be off.

I always put the powder in first and then had the water premeasured on the side that I just poured in.

I honestly cant remember if I put arms or legs in first. We have not used those since the winter. I think I did legs first

Legs first, the other way takes too much work!

And water first, I had my bottles pre-filled. :)

Sometimes I do legs first, sometimes arms, it depends on the PJs and what seems easier at the time
I always do water first then powder b/c the if the other way around the water measurement is off.
I hate when DH makes the bottles b/c I think he does it the other way around and doesn't measure the powder in the scoop right either, but I try not to say anything since he is trying to help, then I just wonder how "off" he has made it. :D

    Same as everyone else. :)

Actually, DH has discovered that with Mr. Wiggle Worm (DS2) that it's easier to do leg, arm, leg, arm. I don't think I'm coordinated enough to do it, so I just started buying two piece pajamas instead. :p

Water and arms for me as well. I find that if I don't so the arms first then the wiggle out of the feet before I am all done. If I start with the arms then put the feet in at the last minute, I find that I am doing less re-dressing.

I do it both ways. There's no rhyme or reason to why one day I do it one way and another day another way. I didn't often use powder but on the occassions that I did, I always put the water first so that I had right measurement of water.

If you read the formula cans, it says you should add water first. There is a reason for this - if you put the powder in first, you actually end up with a different ratio of water to formula than is intended by the manufacturer. If you add water first, you actually get 4 full oz of water (or however much you are putting in). If you add powder first, you do not get the full amount of water.

Arms first and powder first. With the bottles though I make a batch of formula at one time. I do not do it bottle by bottle. I measure my water in a seperate measuring cup and have the formula measured out in a larger one and then mix the two together so there is never any ratio difference. You get correct water to powder mix.

Arms and water first! DH often tries putting the powder in first, but inevitably, he then adds too much water. If you do water first and put too much water in, you can always pour some off, but if you had already put the powder in, there's no way to compensate for that.

Hmmmm, I'm surprised the majority does legs first on the footie pj's. Seems more difficult to me that way since the legs don't stay on unless you zip it up, but you can't zip it up all the way if the arms aren't on, KWIM? Even for snap ones, I would have to snap the legs, then put arms in, then snap the rest of the way up.
