My daughter (and I, much to my dismay) have been sucked into the American Girl doll craze. My mom feeds the habit, by getting Hannah lots of adorable outfits and accessories for the doll. The only problem is, we haven't figured out a good way to store it. Right now everything is in a bin, but the velcro is getting stuck on the tights/socks and/or pieces go missing.

I tried an over the door organizer, with see through pockets, but that wasn't too effective considering she could only reach the pockets on the bottom!

In the grand scheme of things, this seems like such a silly problem, but it is driving me NUTS!

suitcases! the carry on size. They work awesome. If you get the three piece set (carry on, satchel and bathroom case) you can sort them out. Dolls, clothes and accessories. Works awesome for my daughter's barbie dolls!

I got Sarah a pretty pink big woven basket that all the dresses go in. She has another smaller box that we put the shoes, tights, and underwear in that we can set on top of the bigger basket. And it all fits currently.

Another idea I love, but don't know if we will do is finding a way to hang some thin dowel rod in her closet and buy some small hangers to hang the dress on. I've found off-label hangers the correct size where we could hang up the dresses. I think I would like that, but that would involve alot of work getting set up.

For Barbies, I just found at Target a $20 plastic, rolling case. It's the height of Barbies so they can stand in it. Then the lid opens and has small compartments for storing all the shoes and little pieces in. It won't fit all of the clothes we have, but I know I can get all the shoes and Barbies and little pieces in it.

That's what I did. I used a small PVC pipe, drilled some holes into it, put a chain through it and spray painted it. They had some adjustable shelfs in their closet, so the chain fit on the brackets just fine. I also build a 3-tier shoe rack for the shoes (not quite square, but it does the job).

We don't have AG dolls, but we do have tons of barbies. Sofia has a bookshelf in her room. There are two bucket to store the dolls and then I got her a small 3-drawer plastic organizer for the clothes/shoes/purses. So far that works for us.

You could always get something like this: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=8282897 to store the clothes in, you could put socks, and shoes and tights in one drawer, and dresses in another.

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=8056052 We have something like this with bins in it that works great also.
