Put both babies in one cart (in their carriers) and pull one cart while pushing another. Carts are easier to push with one hand than a stroller.

I agree. Or I tried to plan big shops when I could go alone & just did small shops with L&L, putting groceries in the basket of the stroller. Or you can wear one baby, put the other in the grocery cart (in their carseat) & still be able to put food in there.

I live in a city so they are in the phil&teds and I also hold a basket or pull a cart. Carts in city groceries are small, however. I only buy what I can carry home and attach to the stroller with a carabiner

I still on occasion push them in their stroller and pull a cart. Other times I just get a few things that I can put in the basket below the stroller.

Big trips I always go alone. Small trips, like today, I leave them in their car seats (even though they can sit up, I don't trust those wimpy cart seat belts) and put one up top where a big kid would sit and one in the basket and basically just pile my groceries around them. I can only pick up a few things when I do that, but it works in a pinch.

I put both carseats in the cart. I use cloth shopping bags (the nice heavy duty ones w/ the stiff bottoms) which I hook to the outside of my cart with carabiners and I put the larger items on the undercart rack. I've done $100+ shopping trips this way. The nice thing about the cloth bags is that I sort parishables into separate bags as I shop so if I get home and the boys are having a meltdown, I don't have to fish thru 10 plastic bags to try to find all of my fridge/freezer items. Sometimes I just throw the whole bag in the refrigerator or freezer (we have a large upright) til I get a free moment. It's worked great so far.
