how do you keep them covered?

Iris has figured out how to get out of her sleepsack! While I'm proud of this accomplishment I cover her with the sleepsack and she moves around a lot during the night so I end up putting her back into it later on. Nefeli happily stays in hers. I want to transition Iris out fo the sleepsack since spring is already here and soon it won't be needed but it still gets cold at night so she needs to be covered.
So, how do you keep yours warm at night? We're talking a really squirmy moving girl here!

We used to put the sleep sacks on backwards. That way they couldn't get out of it.

We just put the kids in cotton footie jammies and that's all we can do. They stopped liking their sleepsacks a few months ago when they really began walking around in their cribs - so we ditched them.

Is their room really cold? We keep our heater up a bit higher than we would if they had more layers (talking maybe 70* instead of 69* at night), but they are fine when they wake up. Sometimes their little hands are a bit cold, but they would be in the sleepsack anyway.

You might try just letting her sleep in footie jammies and see how she does. Good luck!!

We put sleep sacks on backwards too. Sarah can still sometimes wiggle out the top, but she doesn't try very hard -- usually she does it by accident. Mine also sleep in fleece blanket sleepers year-round because we like it cold at night.

I don't really. They can put their blanket on if they choose, or sometimes they holler for me to put it back on in the middle of the night (fun!) but they are perfectly capable of doing it.

DS hates blankets...I'm talking he throws them out of the crib immediately.... and outgrew sleepsacks. For now I just put him in a footed blanket sleeper and he's fine. We keep the house warm anyway.

Is she unzipping or escaping through the neck hole? I made a double pleat in the neck holes to make them smaller on our Halo sacks because they would pull their arms in and up through the neck hole and then wiggle it down like they do with their shirts. After the alteration, they could get one arm out and then they'd be stuck wearing it like a toga and they'd eventually give up and go to sleep... most of the time. If she's just unzipping, put it on backward.
