How do you give teething tablets?

The instructions say to let them dissolve under the tongue, yeah right they are 5.5 months and miserable.

    Gotta go Zach's crying again.

BTW- I've heard conflicting stories, does teething cause diahrea (SP?)

personally, they make me a little nervous because they take a second longer to dissolve than I am comfortable with (they are so tiny though!).

So I take one and hold it by their bottom gums and let go when most of it dissolved. I give 3 (one at a time). Then I take a syringe with water because I think it helps to get it all down.

I also get a wet washcloth a freeze it. Then I take it out, dab one end into water and give it to them to suck on. That works better than the teething toys because the teething toys seem to be so big for their mouth and also not cold enough.

I pop them into their mouths, they dissolve really quickly. Teething may cause loose stools that are watery and green.

Thanks for the quick responses...got them in and dissolved! Next question, what can I do for the icky poopies? The teething misery thing is new to me, Patrick and Micah both had such an easy time of it, I never knew they were actively teething the teeth would just show up without warning. These two seem to be having a hard time of it.

Ours were a little older when they started teething - one chewed them, the other I would let it disolve in a little water on a spoon because they made her gag. She did great that way. Sorry, haven't seen the icky poopies - well, they are all icky imo, but nothing out of the ordinary. (Jinx - I'm sure we'll have them tomorrow!) Stephanie

I do just that, put it under their tongue and let it dissolve. Easier to do than it sounds. [IMG] Mine actually like the taste of the things, so once they get the first one they open wide for the second one.

I just pop them in and they dissolve pretty quickly...I do stick their paci in right after so the white gunk doesn't come back out at me though hehe...I love teething tablets...they are my best friend at times in this house!
