How do you get your twins from the car into -wherever

Last weekend we switched from our infant carseats to our convertible. I am usually really good about getting out-and-about with my LO's by myself, and still have no problems when I go shopping, as I just strap them in the stroller, but what about going to a restaurant or some other place that a stoller isn't as convienent? Do you still use a stroller? I have a friend that likes to meet for lunch, but she also has a LO, and therefore has no extra arms to help me. When they were still in the infant seats, I could carry both a short distance, but now there is no way. Since we made the switch, I have been wondering how everyone manages when their kiddos are not yet walking, yet too big for the infant seats.

If my stroller didn't fit, I didn't go. We didn't do many restaurants, instead we did the food court at the mall. It had a Chili's To Go so we could get restaurant food without the cramped seating.

 

Stroller here too. Although, many times I just took the umbrella stroller (since it's smaller) and carried one while pushing the other.

 

I used my stoller a lot. Even for short distances. When they were that young I had no other choice really.

 

I have a single umbrella stroller that I use, and carry the other one. Doing this also doesn't cause such a scene either because unless people are paying attention to you, they don't notice that it is twins.

 

My double stroller, if it doesn't fit, we don't go!

 

I also use my stroller if I have to go anywhere by myself.

 

I do the umbrella stroller and carry one. Or my sister is usually with us and even though my nephew is 3wks older than my boys...we will have one lug 2 boys in and the other carry 1 baby and everything else.

 

I don't have bucket car seats, just convertables so I have had to do this since day one. I use a ring sling. Once you get the hang of them, they are super easy. I will also use a backpack when they are older. One in the carrier, one on the hip.

Thanks for all the comments. I kinda figured that the stroller was the primary way to go. I hadn't thought about getting an umbrella stroller. Hmmm, I might have to get one!

 

We have entered the stroller phase. Jack is out of his infant seat, but Sam's not.

I have resigned myself to the huge stroller or not going.

How about a single stroller and a baby carrier (ergo, beko, bjorn, etc)?
