My Twins just turned a year old this month......Also our oldest turned 7.....I want to put their picture in our local news paper BUT I haven't had their picture made yet and Wonder if I'd be wasting Time and Money to take them anywhere to have them made.

I tried myself to take their pictures in the yard the other evening and It didn't turn out well.....I couldn't get a decent picture of any of them.....I'd almost settle for *1 out of 3 grin*

    Any Tips??? :(

professionals are trained to hnadle kids, its their job. i would definatly take them to have their phot's taken or at least take your own.

Bribery works for me. Although at my last photo shoot with the kids the only thing that got Kenna to sit still was to hold my cell phone, if you look here you can see the cell phone in her right hand...it took many takes to get just this one but it worked for me!!

Good luck! Oh, I did my kids when they were 5,3,& 1 and it wasn't fun...but I just kept taking and promised them the world...I did it at home so I wouldn't waste money and I could just take and take and take. Now that its nice outside, outside ones can be easier...

I've done the majority of our photos at home also. Bribery works wonders ;) For their 2yr xmas pics I gave them each a candy cane to keep them happy/occupied. And the next time I gave them each a Hershey Kiss and then set a handful behind where I was standing and just told them to look at the kisses & smile then they could have one - then just kept snapping a ton of pics. Once they got antsy I gave them each another & then repeated. I got really great pics with both smiling - hey whatever works

    Valium?

LOL, actually I just take A LOT of pictures until I get ONE that is nice. Even at this age they still don't like to sit still for them.

I'm sorry to say, but since mine became mobile, I do not have a good picture of all 3 of them together. (There's one prime offender- a little red-headed 2 year old!!) Anyway, I have taken them to professionals, but no luck. What we did last year was took them to Target. The photographer got 1 good picture of each kid & put together an awesome collage with those photos. I have an old friend in texas that is going to try to help with B-day pictures this summer.... we'll see!!!

I actually wrote about this on my blog: http://letterstomytwingirls.blogspot.com/2...21_archive.html

I haven't yet taken them to get professional photos ... I'm sure I will, but it just seems like a huge time slot to plan on and then only to realize they aren't going to cooperate that day anyway. So, I take all of mine at home. I get lots of compliments on many of them ... I dig just getting them doing their own thing. Read my blog for some of my tips -- as well as find out a little techniques to take better photos at home.

Let us know what you decide.

Destini, your post made remeber something I said to someone. They were saying how hard it was to choose a picture from a professional because they liked them all. I said, "Do a picture with more than one kid, you'll be lucky to get one you like." I guess that's why I can walk out of the Picture people with only the free shot and nothing else. Half the time I can't get anything worthwhile.
