EAT! I have noticed that I'm consistently missing lunch. I either take a couple of bites of something cold in the fridge like a slice of cheese or something or wait for my dh to get home, around 530pm. At least I get a bowl of cereal around 630-700 am!

Here are some things that worked for me when my babies were younger (now they'll just sit in their highchairs and watch me eat!)

    * Purposely make enough food for dinner so that you have leftovers and can just zap it in the microwave for a minute or two the next day

    * Make a cold sack lunch the night before (sandwhich, veggies in a baggie, etc). I would grab my sack lunch and usually eat it with one hand while I was feeding or playing with a baby!

    * Plan out your lunches ahead of time - either once a week or the day before. Whenever you can make something ahead of time and heat it up later, do it. If you plan out your meals, you won't have to waste any of your valuable eating time figuring out what to eat! I usually only had 5 minutes to grab something, so I didn't want to spend any of those minutes rummaging through the fridge/cupboards to figure out what to eat.

Hope this helps. I call this time period the "New Mommy Diet Plan" - no time to eat, which helped me take off some of my baby weight. haha.

I have the same problem. I just try to keep healthy snacks on hand. I have cheese, cold cuts, cut-up vegetables (forget the dip), hard-boiled eggs, and those drinkable yogurts. Then I graze all day and try to eat a meal for dinner. It was hard to get used to, but just try to keep things on hand that you can eat cold with one hand. It will really make you appreciate a hot meal! ~Kat

I ate leftovers, and tried to amuse the girls with my feet while they sat in their bouncy chairs. Or sometimes they just cried for 5 minutes. That is hard, but it's important for you to eat! This will get a lot better when they're old enough to hold a toy and play with it for a few minutes.

I either ate leftovers that I reheated in the microwave (even though I never got to eat while it was still hot, LOL!) or I made a sandwich (or some other kind of food that could be eaten quickly) the night before. I tried to pick things that could be eaten quickly and/or one handed. I do try to avoid drippy stuff otherwise it ends up all over the babies. [IMG]

It's hard. Look for one-hand foods like wraps, etc. That way you can eat and multi-task. Those kids' yogurts that come in the sippable tubes are great, too, when you're starving and just can't find time to eat.

Triscuits - I swear I lived on them for the first 2 months
