How do you find a trustworthy investment platform?

My brother once joined a platform that promised smooth investing and easy returns. It looked modern, had all the right words, but after a month, he couldn’t even reach support when something glitched. Watching him struggle with that mess really turned me off similar setups. I don’t care about fancy interfaces — I just want something that actually works and doesn’t vanish when things go sideways.
