how do you feed a child in a high chair

the highchair is so erect, how does the baby drink a bottle? we just tried and they sit up fine but cant drink a bottle.

 

We only feed food in the highchair. We hold them while feeding them bottles.

 

We have the space saver chairs and they recline but we also never fed bottles in the highchairs just solids. The bouncers work great for feedings! :good:

 

We have highchairs that recline in 3 positions. most of the time they drink their bottles on the floor propped up by a pillow, or they sit up and drink them.

 

I haven't ever fed them a bottle in a high chair either. We only fed solids in the chair & held them for their bottles.

 

We also never did bottles in the highchairs even though ours have the 3 position recline. I used the lowest position when they were very small, then the middle position when they started on solids but couldn't sit up by themselves, and they are now in the highest position when they eat.

 

We had the FP Spacesaver ones that recline and I did bottles (and later milk cups to transition out of the bottles) in the reclined position. Foods sitting up.

Ditto this. Naomi and Luke had reclining high chairs (the others did/do not) but even then I never fed bottles in the high chairs. When they were young enough to be having a bottle and solids at the same feed I would give them the bottle first, then put them in the chair for solids, then (if there was milk left and they wanted it) take them back out to finish the milk.
