Awesome weights!!!! Way to go momma! I did the 3 hour feeding schedule until I went to bed, and then I would let them sleep as long as they would sleep.

Well, I never woke them to feed them. I'm sure many people will not disagree with that, but the pediatrician did. For the first 5 weeks or so, they'd wake up about half way through the night to eat, after that htey'd sleep through, and we let them.

Yup, I would feed them right before you go to bed (~9pm) then let them sleep!!! Hope you get some rest :D

Awesome weights - my DD didn't hit 8.12 until she was 4 months!

I agree with pps, I'd feed them and night and them let them sleep as long as they will.

Great appt! I also let them sleep until they woke and I woke them together. At 3 months I stopped waking them together because one always slept through.

A lot of people don't wake them, but per advice from our pedi who said EVERY infant no matter what weight 3 months and under should be woke every 3 hrs to feed. After 3 months, if they sleep through a feeding that is fine.

I never woke THEM to feed...but when one woke on his own I did wake the other to feed...that way I could get more sleep btwn (instead of just get my eyes closed and the other would be ready)

Great way to grow them babies!!!

I just had my one month appt yesterday! I actually asked the pediatrician about that... and she told me at this point to not wake them ... but i would double check with what your own pediatrician recommends. Mine aren't going much beyond 4 hours anyway, so it doesn't seem to be much of an issue ...

my little man was born at 5lbs 8oz and is now 8lbs 10oz! what a chunk!

and my little lady was born at 5lbs and is now 7lbs 8oz ...

it's so fun to see them growing so quickly isn't it??

good luck! I'm sure if you are feeling anything like me, you are anxiously awaiting getting more sleep!

You have to wake them? My daughter has twins and her pedi told her to wake hers as well every three hours - they were five weeks early - one came home at 5# even and the other just over 4#. The only problem we had was even after the pedi said it was alright to let them go longer - they still wanted to get up every three hours. He finally made some suggestions on how to wean them from one of their nightly feedings. I'm impressed that yours will sleep. If they sleep and they are both over 7 pounds at 1 month - I'd let sleeping babies lay. Congrats on your babies - good job mom
