How do you choose game guides without ruining the experience?

I often look for game guides, but it feels like many of them either explain very basic things or spoil too much too early. Especially in RPGs, I want to understand mechanics, builds, or progression systems without having the story or major choices revealed upfront. It’s hard to find guides that are detailed but still respectful of the first playthrough. How do you approach this? Do you rely on certain types of guides or specific authors?

I usually try to read guides written from a player’s perspective rather than generic walkthroughs. You can often tell when the author is explaining things based on actual mistakes and learning during the game. Sometimes I check guides on https://dafy.site/guides-tips/ From what I’ve seen, the focus there is more on mechanics, builds, and practical tips, without pushing story spoilers into every paragraph. That makes it easier to use the guide as support instead of a replacement for playing.

Thanks, that approach sounds much more comfortable.
