How do you guys bathe babies? We're still using the bath tubs in the tub but were wondering if we should use the bath seats. They love to sit, but they still seem ok with the tub...what does everone else do? I can't believe how fast they are growing!

I have a 2yo, so when I am bathing him, I throw a baby in there too. I do one at a time. I will put one in the jumper in the doorway (I am home alone at bath time) while I bath the other. I don't use seats, but I am thinking of getting one because Gabe is a WILD MAN and I can hardly hold on to him! [IMG] [IMG] He loves bathtime. Have you seen a dog when you hold them over water and their legs start going?? That is what Gabe does! Once in, he is zooming back and forth chasing after toys. It is exhausting to say the very least!! Nathan isn't crawling yet, so he is very easy and just sits and loves to splash the water.

I don't know how I would do both babies together - especially with Gabe the way he is. But so far this is working well for us. I really can't wait for them to get a bit bigger so I can do all 3 at the same time.

At that age me and DH were doing it in the sink, our sink is large, and they still fit in it, and that was pretty easy. When I was home alone and needed to bathe them, I would set their little tub in the living room floor, and bathe one while the other played beside me in the floor.

We had one bath seat and gave them a bath one at a time. Now we still do one at a time, but they sit on their own (we have one of those non-skid mats down in the tub). We think they are pretty much ready to sit in there together now, so we'll probably try that soon. Both of us will be in there for a while when we start that - right now DH gives them their baths and I dress them afterwards.

I was using the baby tub and using the ring that is meant for the tub, but lately I've been using the main tub with an inch or two of water. They really like that and they both can be in there at the same time. Peyton likes laying on his stomach, I think he's going to be a swimmer; and Eli likes to just sit there grabbing at toys.

Speaking of swimming he's going to love the pool this summer! [IMG]

As infants I did it one at a time in a baby bath on my counter. When they outgrew that, I stuck them in my (cleaned of course- not with the dishes!) kitchen sink one at a time and it was so easy on my back and so much fun.

Eventually at around 9 months or so I think they sat well enough that I tried bath rings in the bath. They LOVED IT! I borrowed one and bought the same one so they'd be matching of course and they were great. Here's the link Aquababy bath ringvery compact, but did the trick.

Now I put my two year old in the bath with them and they love to splash eachother and make floods on me and the floor. It's hectic, and I can't leave their side for a second, but it's still easier to do it all at once than three times in a row, IMO. (PS- to get them out, I take out one at a time and towel dry and diaper her on the floor in the bathroom, so I'm still near the tub. I bathe in my master bathroom so when they're diapered up they are free to wander my room and play with my shoes and garbage cans etc...while I finish up the other two.)
